Our Story

About Us

The Virginia Public Transit Foundation was founded in 2026 through a partnership between the Virginia Transit Association, the Community Transportation Association of Virginia, and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation with the goal to support the Commonwealth's transit workers with their professional growth and careers in the transit field.

Together, the Foundation works to expand opportunities and provide funding for those in Virginia transit agencies and organizations.
